Framingham State students, faculty and staff gathered in beautiful Crocker Grove on September 3rd to welcome the Class of 2028 to FSU!
The roughly 800 new students were greeted by–among others–Framingham State President Nancy S. Niemi, Dean of Students Meg Nowak, Student Government Association President Evelyn Campbell and, of course, Sam the Ram.
"For 186 years, our school motto has been 'Live to the Truth.' We can—and should—be thinking about what living to the truth means, and the world needs you, me, and all of us to do this," President Niemi told the students. “Truth” is a powerful concept, and right now there are many people who will look you in the eye (or through the screen’s eye) and tell you lies. We need to teach and create, to talk and listen, and learn together so that we can judge truth from fiction, and figure out what to do together from there. How’s that for the power of college? So come on, Rams—let’s go!"
Following a rally in the Athletic Center, lunch and swag was provided in Crocker Grove.
